Dr. Somashekar D graduated from KVG Medical College, Sullia, and completed his MS Orthopaedics from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore. He pursued a fellowship (FNB) in spine surgery from Park Clinic and Neurosciences, Kolkata, a premier institute for brain and spine surgeries. Dr. Somashekar is actively involved in research in the field of spine surgery, having worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Spine Surgery at Kothari Medical Centre, Kolkata.
Additionally, he has authored several chapters in orthopaedic and spine textbooks. With over 1000 spine surgeries and numerous orthopaedic surgeries to his credit, Dr. Somashekar D has demonstrated expertise in his field.

Dr. Somashekar D brings over 9 years of experience to his practice. During his MS Orthopaedics, he gained exposure to various specialties including trauma, arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and spine surgery. He previously worked at Siddharth Hospital, Goregaon, Mumbai, where he was exposed to a diverse range of cases. Subsequently, he joined Park Clinic, Kolkata, focusing on spine surgery and participating in over 2000 spine surgeries. Later, as a Senior Research Fellow at Kothari Medical Center, Kolkata, he independently conducted more than 250 spine surgeries.
Dr. Somashekar then served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institute. Currently, he is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, and Trilife Hospital, Kalyan Nagar
